Above is a comprehensive list of research & clinical trials conducted to date.

Details of each study, including focus, study subjects, dosage, date & results or findings

Paper #01 -Effect of NMN (Nicotinomide Mononucleotide) Supplementation on Cardiometabolic Function

Summary: The consumption of 250 mg of NMN per day for a period of 10 weeks leads to enhanced insulin sensitivity, increased blood NAD levels, and improved muscle growth, proliferation, and remodeling.

Publication Date: 30 June 2021

Focus: Blood NAD levels

Study Subjects: 25 prediabetic and obese women of post menopause

Dosage: 250 mg NMN, oral daily for 10 weeks

Results/Findings: NMN supplementation for 10 weeks leads to a significant increase in NAD+ levels in immune system blood cells and muscle metabolism, as evidenced by a 25% rise in glucose utilization, with increased signalling for muscle cell growth and remodeling.

Paper #02 -A multicentre, Randomised, Double Blind, Parallel Design, Placebo Controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Uthever (NMN Supplement), an Orally Administered Supplementation in Middle Aged and Older Adults

Summary: The absence of a substantial change in blood NAD levels despite the intake of 300 mg of NMN per day for a period of 60 days may be due to the low dose and limited intervention duration.

Publication Date: 30 March 2021

Focus: Blood NAD levels

Study Subjects: 66 healthy Indian adults of 40-65 years

Dosage: 300 mg NMN, oral daily for 60 days

Results/Findings: The Uthever supplement group experienced an 11.3% increase in blood NAD+ levels after 30 days and a 38% increase after 60 days, significantly higher than the smaller 14.3% increase observed in the placebo group.

Paper #03 -MIB-626, an Oral Formulation of a Microcrystalline Unique Polymorph of β-Nicotinamide Mononucleotide, Increases Circulating Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide and its Metabolome in Middle-Aged and Older Adults

Summary: Blood NAD+ levels rise without affecting insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism following 2-weeks administration of up to 2000 mg MIB-626 (NMN).

Publication Date: 1 March 2022

Focus: Blood NAD levels

Study Subjects: 32 overweight or obese adults between the ages of 55 and 80 years

Dosage: 1,000 and 2,000 mg micro-crystalline NMN, oral daily for 2 weeks

Results/Findings: MIB-626 treatment at a dose of 1,000 mg once-daily and twice-daily significantly raises blood NMN levels by 1.7 and 3.7 times respectively, with a dose-dependent increase in NAD metabolites, indicating safety and efficacy.

Paper #04 -Nicotniamide mononucleotide supplementation enhances aerobic capacity in amateur runners: a randomized, double-blind study

Summary: Aerobic capacity during exercise is improved following 6 weeks of NMN treatment with doses ranging from 300 to 1200 mg/day.

Publication Date: 1 April 2022

Focus: Aerobic capacity during exercise

Study Subjects: 48 Chinese atheletes of 27-50 years

Dosage: 300, 600, 1200 mg NMN, oral daily for 6 weeks

Results/Findings: NMN combined with exercise enhances aerobic capacity and muscle ozygen utilization, particularly at doses of 600 and 1200 mg, while physical strength assessment remains unchanges, except for single-leg stance in the 600 mg group.

Paper #05 -Chronic nicotinamide mononucleotide supplementation elevates blood nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide levels and alters muscle function in healthy old men

Summary: Administration of NMN at a dose of 250 mg/day for 12 weeks is safe and increases NAD+ levels significantly.

Publication Date: 1 May 2022

Focus: Blood NAD levels

Study Subjects: 42 healthy Japanese men aged 65 years or more

Dosage: 250 mg NMN, oral daily for 12 weeks

Results/Findings: Administration of NMN led to a significant increase in blood NAD+ levels as well as increased levels of nicotinamide riboside (NR), which are important in cellular metabolism and energy production. NMN supplementation improves physical function in older adults such as gait speed and muscle strength, while increasing NAD+ and related compounds in blood.

Paper #06 -A Multi Center Two Part Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of NMN as an Anti-ageing Supplement in Middle Aged and Older (45-65 Years) Adults

Summary: The administration of NMN at doses of 300, 600, and 900 mg/day for 60 days resulted in a significant increase in blood NAD levels in a dose-dependent manner when compared to both placebo and baseline.

Publication Date: 9 September 2021

Focus: Blood NAD levels, physical performance

Study Subjects: 80 healthy Indian male and female of 40-65 years

Dosage: 300, 600, and 900 mg NMN, oral daily for 60 days

Results/Findings: All three doses of NMN significantly increased blood NAD levels in a dose-dependent manner, with 600 mg providing the greatest increase, and all doses showed a significant increase in walking distance compared to placebo.

Paper #07 -Safety evaluation of β-nicotinamide mononucleotide oral administration in healthy adult men and women

Summary: The study findings suggest that a daily oral intake of 1250 mg of NMN for a maximum of 4 weeks is well-tolerated and safe for healthy men and women.

Publication Date: 24 August 2022

Focus: Safety assessment

Study Subjects: 31 healthy Japanese adults of 20-65 years

Dosage: 1250 mg NMN, oral daily for 4 weeks

Results/Findings: The trial aimed to ensure that the treatment was safe and well-tolerated, which was confirmed by the absence of any harmful effects in the Ames test, as well as normal results from various tests, including blood, urine, and body composition, and no negative effects from the treatment.

Paper #08 -Effect of 12-Week Intake of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide on Sleep Quality, Fatigue, and Physical Performance in Older Japanese Adults: A Ranfomized, Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Study

Summary: NMN supplementation in the afternoon improved lower limb function and reduced drowsiness in older adults, indicating that it may help prevent physical decline and alleviate fatigue in this population.

Publication Date: 11 February 2022

Focus: Effects of NMN on sleep quality, fatigue, and physical performance in older adults

Study Subjects: 108 healthy Japanese adults of above 65 years

Dosage: 250 mg NMN, oral daily for 12 weeks

Results/Findings: The study found that taking NMN in the afternoon improved lower limb function and reduced drowsiness in older adults, as demonstrated by significant improvements in the 5-STS test and a decrease in drowsiness, which could potentially benefit their overall physical and mental health.
